Energy consumption all over the world is rising while decreasing supplies of non-renewable energy sources such as coal, oil and natural gas. In addition, consumption of this kind of energy sources is very hard on the environment. Therefore, the importance of renewable energy sources increases. Biomass is a very important part for heat, gas, electricity and fuels productivity and is almost fully usable.

Biogas plants are modern and eco-friendly devices that are typically used in the Czech Republic and abroad. They process a wide range of materials or organic waste through anareobic digestion (process in reactors without air). The result of the process is biogas, which is mostly used for the production of electricity, heat and digestate, which can be used as high quality fertilizer (like compost).
